CULTURE

Our company is built on creativity, relationships, excellence, stewardship and teamwork (also known as ‘CREST’). And our top priority is simple: we seek to serve not just our customers, but each other. We strive to understand each employee’s talents and utilize them for the maximum benefit of the individual and the company.

We are stable and strong, in areas like supply-chain management, business relationships and financial control. But we are also flexible and improving, when it comes to customer needs and market shifts.

We don’t ever settle for good enough. We always aim for better. Our persistent pursuit of excellence is done with our customers in mind. When industry best practices don’t suit our clients’ specifications, we redefine quality. We take accountability. And we exceed needs.

That’s not just our job. That’s our culture.

What do our employees say?

After 11 years, I am still learning. I don’t think it’s possible to ever know everything there is to know in this business, so I try to be a sponge and soak up everything I can.

– Katy Carson, Inside Sales/Account Manager

“At Superior Steel Supply we know the value of teamwork and the value of helping one another out. By helping each other out we are better able to serve our customers and vendors.”

– Karen Hurley, Assistant Controller

“In the steel industry, it is easy to get caught up in trying to make a quick sale. We want to build a lasting partnership and trust that can be counted on in the long term.”

– Brooks Odle, Partner/Outside Sales

“It was about 6-8 months after I started with SSS and Landon got swamped with his work. Jordan came up from Indiana for 2 weeks to help in any way possible to keep the customer moving. We set up an ‘HQ desk’ (a desk that held all information about a specific customer) that the three of us could use to see what needed to be completed. Between the three of us, the inside sales team and Aaron, the COO, we were able to work together to ensure the customer was supplied with steel, and all other accounts were serviced properly. This showed me the commitment and teamwork of the inside sales group and how we could get things done.”

– Andrew Brouwer, Purchasing
